I build your product on a fixed scope, with tests, and stay on to maintain it.
For founders with a validated model and startups that need to reach their first customers.
The problem
The hard part is rarely the idea. It is getting to production without the scope growing every week, and having someone who knows the code once you launch.
What you get
An MVP in production, tested, ready for its first customers.
- A scope fixed in the spec: what is in is written down; everything else goes into later work and does not bloat the first version.
- Milestones with deliveries and tests: each one ends with something you can try.
- One person from spec to maintenance, including AI features if the product needs them.
How it starts
A short analysis phase at a fixed price. At the end you have the work plan: the spec and its scope, what stays out, milestones and what each delivers, stack and infrastructure, and a quote per milestone. If we go ahead, the analysis is deducted from the first milestone.
After the MVP
Two options. Further work as separate projects, each with its own written scope. Or a monthly maintenance and development retainer with an agreed number of days. Either way, the code stays with the person who wrote it.
Work
- Fleet and workshop SaaS, built solo from a written spec on a milestone contract: around 2,900 automated tests, 91 endpoints, 93-95% coverage. Read the case →
- Booking platform for a non-profit: backend, architecture, infrastructure and load testing all mine. 2,000 concurrent users with 0% errors and not one seat oversold. Read the case →
FAQ
What does it cost?
It depends on the size of the idea and what the product needs to do, so I'd rather give you a real price than a range. Write me a couple of lines about your project and I'll reply with the cost of the analysis: fixed, agreed before we start, no extras. We then quote the product together at the end of the analysis, milestone by milestone.
How long will it take?
The milestone plan tells you, after the analysis. Before we know what is needed, any estimate would just be a number.
What if we change our mind halfway?
The change becomes later work, or replaces something inside the scope. Always in writing.
Do you work alone?
I build and maintain the product myself. When a project needs more hands I work as RiverDevStudio with a network of trusted professionals, and I stay your contact.
